Latitude Real Estate is proud to announce the first green initiative of many
Taking the first steps to work towards a cleaner planet by eliminating all paper contracts and unnecessary printing from head office and our sites across Victoria. There are many ways to help reduce waste, and we are dedicated to doing our best where we can. The first step on this journey was to implement to a fully online e-contracting system, helpful during COVID and very good for the environment – especially when you begin to understand the impact:
- 300 million ink cartridges are thrown away each year
- Each online contract set signed saves an average of 9KG of CO2 emissions from couriering
- 2.5KG of CO2 emissions in energy consumption
- 5000 litres of water
- 6% of a tree
Latitude has established a new policy to promote the elimination of unnecessary waste and establish an environmentally conscious company-wide philosophy working towards improving the future and becoming as carbon neutral as possible. To remind us of our commitment daily, all staff will be wearing the new ‘Going Green Pins’ on their lapel, along with informative signage now decorating the walls in our head office and sites offices.
